Ardyce Pfanstiel

April 20, 1920 - January 10, 2020

After graduating with a Business Degree from Trinity University Ardyce worked in San Antonio Radio at KABC (See: Anniversary Ad), KTSA and KYFM (See: KYFM). She then worked at KSIX in Corpus Christi before returning to San Antonio to work in television at KEYL Channel 5.

According to Broadcasting Magazine, while at KEYL Ardyce was the runner-up in a Burns & Allen nationwide contest. As the runner-up she received a 21 inch console television as a prize. A 21 inch television was a "big deal" in 1953!

After radio and television Ardyce had a 25 year career as a Recreational Specialist at Fort Sam Houston.
