Newsweek Magazine

After reading the article I encountered on page 92 of the March 4th 1968 issue of Newsweek Magazine I knew I had to show it to KONO Program Director Gary Allyn.

The article was about a new radio format called Progressive Rock`n' Roll that was spreading across the United States in San Francisco, Detroit, Saint Louis and even Houston.

After reading the article Gary allowed me to drop all the normal KONO formatting (including jingles) for the last two hours of my weekend air shift.

The time slot eventually became known as KONO Koncept.
